About:
Conceived especially for "Windows upon ocean. Berlin wall 20
years after" and Insight space, the exhibition "Impasse"
by Ibro Hasanovic is gathering his oeuvre questioning identity through
the notions of limits and borders.
In this exhibition, borders are considered as an impasse, a space
without any exit, where the individual finds himself in an uncomfortable
position. Through his statements, installations, videos and objects,
Ibro Hasanovic is attempting to define his own identity, closely
linked to the Balkans. Region that is fragmented, complex and marked
by its history.
Works presented are, besides anything else, the reflection of a
plural, progressive and multiple identity, defended by Ibro Hasanovic.
